The Prince George Master Gardener and David Douglas Botanical Garden Society presents SEEDY SATURDAY March 1st 9:00am - 2:00pm

St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church at 1505 5th Avenue, Prince George, BC.

Our theme is Back to the Basics for new and experienced gardeners. There will be 2 topics presented at each session.

9:15am 1. When do I plant my seeds? Transplant? Last frost date; air temperature vs soil temperature. 2. How to plant seeds; preparing the soil, techniques for small seeds, spacing, pre-soaking? 

10:15am 3. Composting. 4. Green Manure.

11:15am 5. Companion planting for beneficial insects. 6. Protecting your Zone 3 garden 

There will be a Seed Swap table, Seed Sales, Displays, REAPS, Seeds of Diversity, Beekeepers, local vendors, Ask a Gardener, DDBGS memberships, book & garden tool sales, hands-on demonstrations, and concession by The Open Door Cafe..
